Advocate

As a ShelterBox Canada Advocate you support ShelterBox by sharing our recent news and updates from the field. We need volunteers who will help us raise awareness across various social media platforms. Advocates are very important for getting our message out so that we can reach the most people from coast-to-coast.

We are looking for people who have an enthusiasm for spreading the word about ShelterBox and can create their own content to engage with their networks, all you need is an internet connection.

• Follow ShelterBox Canada on our social media platforms
• Share our social media posts on your own channels
• Get creative – make your own ShelterBox posts and creative content to engage with people on your own social media. We provide you with all the tools and training to do this
• Activate in times of disaster – when major disasters strike families need our help more than ever – we need you to share urgent updates about our current response to raise awareness

Full Role Description

The process to become an Advocate starts by completing an application form.

Please note that to be a ShelterBox volunteer you must be over 18 years old.

Our staff team is here to help you be successful. We will provide you the resources, training, and support you need while connecting you with other volunteers across Canada.
