mobilizing the world to fight covid-19
TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER. TOGETHER WE CAN DO MORE AND GO FURTHER. TOGETHER WE CAN GIVE SHELTER, AND SAVE THOUSANDS OF LIVES TODAY!
May 05 is a new global day of unity and giving in emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
This Giving Tuesday you can double your impact and save lives through shelter
Refugees and families living in settlement camps after losing their homes are at a greater risk of contracting and spreading Coronavirus. In countries where healthcare systems are already at capacity, the importance of shelter is clear.
Together, we can help reduce the spread and save lives.

Shelter and other emergency aid is vital to protecting families, allowing for social distancing practices and maintaining better health. One shelter can save thousands of lives by providing a space to isolate and prevent the spread.
Today, The Rotary Club of Kenora and The Rotary Club of Calgary Fish Creek are matching your donations* to help ensure that more families receive the shelter they need to stay safe and healthy. This special Giving Tuesday, please give today to double your impact and save thousands of lives.
By donating today, your gift will provide families with shelter, emergency wash kits, and other emergency aid items that will protect them from the spread of Coronavirus. Donate now to have your gift doubled

WAYS YOUR GIFT CAN HELP MITIGATE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19
ENABLING SOCIAL DISTANCING WITH EMERGENCY SHELTER
Our tents and shelter items help to move families out of crowded collective centers and into more private spaces where they can limit their exposure to the virus. Families are better able to self-isolate and social distance when they have individual shelters.
IMPROVING ACCESS TO GOOD HYGIENE
We are customizing our aid packages in support of good hygiene, supplementing our aid items to include soap and hand-washing basins.

MODIFYING DISTRIBUTION PRACTICES
We have adapted our deployment methods by distributing to smaller groups, encouraging social distancing, and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In some responses, we have a healthcare representative at the distribution to promote health and hygiene practices. For safety, we are conducting post deployment monitoring via phone
